We are switching over to a chemical free household and the only thing Im having trouble finding is a good body lotion/cream for myself and my toddler. I need it to be completely without chemicals (paraben free, no sodium laurell sulfate etc) All the lotions we have tried lately are really watery and dont work well. Im trying to find something that is similar to the Aveeno cream. Any ideas? What is a good chemical free lotion or cream that is similar to Aveeno?
Natural lotions are watery because they separate easy without the risky stuff that help the lotion stay blended. I just shake mine when I use it. But I agree, they don't seem to work as well because they separate.
I just use plain vegetable oil. This feeds your cells and keeps them healthy. Healthy cells retain water much better than petro-coated cells reducing your need for lotions and moisturizers.
Just use a dab of natural liquid vegetable oil for regular moisturizing. Use solid oils such as coconut, palm kernal or shea butter for commonly dry areas such as legs after shaving, knees and elbows.
Congratulations! You are going to love the air you breath without the chemical haze. Your skin is going to glow with natural products like it never has before. Healthy, loved and fed food rather than killed or coated with petro-products. You've just cut chemical risks from your life and improved your son's future health. Thank you! Welcome to the rest of us natural 'freaks'!

They are big containers and if you get soap from there the bars are huge . Jody uses high quality natural things in her products no weird chemicals . A little goes a long way
Cetaphil
My baby, and my sister both have mild eczema, and they cannot have chemicals in their lotions. What really works for them is call Aquaphor. You can find it in the baby isle. It is really good stuff!
