About roughly what size must cleanser be and how many hands 1 or 2 do i put it on im in uk?

I usually use a dime-sized amount of cleanser in the morning and before I go to bed. I use both hands to lather it and massage it onto my skin. Then I rinse.

Hope I helped!

x3 CarrieAbout roughly what size must cleanser be and how many hands 1 or 2 do i put it on im in uk?
ummm... i'm not sure i know what you are asking.

you should not need more than a drop the size of a small coin, and use both hands to scrub and wash.

    all you do is splash your face with water ( JUST a splash, if it's too wet, the cleanser won't be effective). Then squeeze some cleanser on the palm of your hands, and apply DIRECTLY on your face. RUb in a circular motion for about 10 seconds to clean deeply. Then rinse and pat dry with a soft towel. ( Rough towels can scratch the surface of your skin)

    First rinse ur face with warm water

    Then massage ur face with the cleanser
    1) Rinse your face with warm water.

    2) Put small amt. of cleanser onto hands.

    3) Lather onto face.

    4) Rinse off completely with warm water.
    1. Rinse your face with warm/hot water

    2. Get some face wash on your hand and rub your hand together for a second then massage onto your face.

    3. Wash of the face cleanser with warm water

    4. Rinse of your face with cold water.

    Warm water opens your pores and cold water closes them. So you open them then wash the dirt/oil out of the pores with facewash then you wash out the face wash then you close the pores so dirt/oil can't get into your pores causing pimples.
    don't touch your hands to your face because it would be so harm full

    Do u dilute the cleanser(facewash) then rub ur hands together define lather too?

    does lather means it requires waterDo u dilute the cleanser(facewash) then rub ur hands together define lather too?
    i wet my hands and then put the face washDo u dilute the cleanser(facewash) then rub ur hands together define lather too?
    Lather describes what the soap does when it becomes frothy and bubbly. You don't dilute cleanser. You put cleanser in your palms and rub hands together to create a lather- and then use that lather to cleanse. By the way, I really think you are over-thinking the whole cleansing process.
    wet your hands and face first , then put the cleanser on your hands rub together gently to form a cream lather and apply to gently rubbing away dead skin cells rinse well pat dry ............
    you don't need water with a face wash to lather

    Ok u know that dial anitbacterial cleanser for the hands?

    can you use iton your face to maybe clear up pimples...

    has anybody tried this before or what do u think???Ok u know that dial anitbacterial cleanser for the hands?
    my doctor told me that is the best soap to use on a blemished face. the other soaps have moisturizers that can clog pores. it works for me!Ok u know that dial anitbacterial cleanser for the hands?
    i wouldn't try it. All effective antibacterial cleansers have at least 62% of alcohol in the them... and alcohol isn't good for your face. It dries up your face, can create a scab, sometimes makes the pimples worse, etc...
    dont use it..it will dry up your face and its not good for it either..it will probably make your skin break out even worse..try a face wash like cetaphil or kiss my face those work really well.
    Yes, its great on your face. Its considered a mild soap so it doesn't contain the fragrances and moiturizers that other soaps contain. But beware; make sure you buy the original orange-transparent dial. Dial now makes a whole slew of other soaps that do contain fragrances and moisturizers.
    I DID WHEN NOTHING ELSE WAS AROUND

    LUCKILY MY FACE DID NOT START CORRODING. HOWEVER I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR AN EVERYDAY REMEDY.
    Listen to me Cetaphil Products are non comedogenic They are the best even if you dont have sensitive skin!

    About roughly what size must cleanser be and how many hands 1 or 2 do i put it on im in uk?

    With all due respect, your question makes no sense.

    Try to rephrase it and you might get more answers.

    I'm going to take a guess you are talking about facial cleansers.

    Most brands instruct you to wet your face and hands and use an amount about the size of your pinky fingertip. Work the cleanser in to a lather and rub it on your face with both hands, avoiding your eyes and mouth.

    Rinse your face and hands thoroughly with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel.

    I hope this helped.

    Is it better to use a cotton pad or your hands with a cleanser on my face?

    yeah, not only is the cotton pad more hygenic, your hands have oils in them that make your fingerprints appear on stuff. it could be bad for your face.Is it better to use a cotton pad or your hands with a cleanser on my face?
    cotton pad more hygenic

    I used Ajax cleanser and I didn't wear any gloves because I was out of them. Can Ajax bleach your hands?

    since I didn't have any gloves on? I mean will it turn the color of my skin really white since there is bleach in it.I used Ajax cleanser and I didn't wear any gloves because I was out of them. Can Ajax bleach your hands?
    I never use gloves with Ajax...you should be alright. I also have very sensitive skin and so far I have been fine with Ajax. You should go wash your hands really well and if they get really irritated then try to put something like a calming lotion on them, such as Aveeno Oatmeal lotion. If you don't have that lotion try using a thin paste of oatmeal and water and rub it on your skin really well, then wash it off.I used Ajax cleanser and I didn't wear any gloves because I was out of them. Can Ajax bleach your hands?
    No need to worry -

    No Ajax will not change your skin color (Only strong Hydrogen Peroxide will temporarily whiten skin). The alkaline parts of Ajax powder will de-fat skin though.

    * Therefore Rinse skin well with cold water.

    * Then use moisturizing cream to soften skin.

    Good luck!!
    I've done this many times and no it didn't change my skin color. However the harsh chemicals will dry your hands out over time...
    Don't worry it will not harm your skin all you will have is a little bit of tigglying feeling in your hand for few minutes and rinse it off with warm water. Apply location on your hands.

    You will not get sick or anything in face you might clean off some germs you can't see even if you use hand soap.
    No, it won't bleach your skin. But it's pretty harsh just the same, so be sure to rinse well and use lotion.
    No, bleach does not turn anyone's hand white if it touches your skin. I would make sure that you wash your hands really good. Chemicals dry the skin out and make them become rough. Sodium hypochlorite is usually sold in solution in water, where it makes a greenish yellow liquid.Household bleaches usually contain sodium hypochlorite in a 3% to 6% solution. Sodium hypochlorite is also used to disinfect water supplies and swimming pools, although calcium hypochlorite in powder or pellect form is also used, due to the convenience of the solid form. Just because it has the name bleach in it does not have the component in it that a skin lighterner has that is hydroquinone, once it touches the skin. Also it can be reversed by the sunlight, so the ingredient in it has sun screen.

    Bleach will not change the color of your skin only irritate it, it is a bad chemical. :)

    I wouldn't use a powder hand soap as a facial cleanser. The ingredients in the hand soap was not formulated for the face which can cause irritation or worse breakouts. Your better off trying a facial cleanser, their are really high quality one found in the drugstore.

    if say its a pump cleanser ho wmany pumps do i press. Do i press them down fully or just half way.How do u know the right amount of cleanser on ur hand and how do u apply the cleanser?
    I think they would mean one full pump of the bottle, or it would probably state that less is needed. I think a good rule of thumb is a dime or nickel-sized drop, depending on the individual product. Just add a few drops of water to achieve a nice lather, and wash away!

    Does overuse of antibacterial hand cleanser cause your hands to be less efficient at fighting the germs by...?

    itself, without the help of the cleanser? Just something I heard from someone. You need bacteria so the things that fight it stay in shape or whatever?Does overuse of antibacterial hand cleanser cause your hands to be less efficient at fighting the germs by...?
    The problem with sanitizer is that it kills ALL bacteria -- even the good stuff that helps us fight off infection. It definitely has it's place and should be used in some situations, BUT the general overuse by most people will eventually make the bad bacteria mutate into something stronger that will hit us harder when we do get sick. Parents who sanitize the hell out of their kids, constantly, are really doing them a disservice because it means when they do pick something up somewhere down the road, it will be something that is stronger and harder to fight off. Your immune system is there for a reason. Allowing it to work as it is supposed to only makes your ';defense'; stronger. If you never let it work for you then it will be depleted when you need it to work the most.Does overuse of antibacterial hand cleanser cause your hands to be less efficient at fighting the germs by...?
    Absolutely. You should not use antibacterials at home. They kill the ';good'; bacteria as well as the bad. You need the good bacteria to stay healthy. Washing with normal soap will be just fine. Antibacterials are necessary in a hospital where there are contaminated fluids, but these are a different grade and are more effective. Some people swear by antibacterials, but they are causing ';bad'; germs to mutate and become stronger.
    Hand sanitizer not only kills all bacteria, good and bad, but when overused it's possible to develop an immunity to the formula.

    It's best to stick to the old-fashioned scrub %26amp;%26amp; rinse
    Probably.

    There are good bacteria and bad bacteria. Anti-bacterial hand cleaner kills both, supposedly.
    Yes, and that's basically the problem with those cleaners: they kill the good bacteria as well as the bad.

    IF I USE TEA TREE OIL HAND CLEANSER WILL THAT PREVENT ZITS ON MY FACE?

    like from the body shop? will that prevent acne?IF I USE TEA TREE OIL HAND CLEANSER WILL THAT PREVENT ZITS ON MY FACE?
    Not likely because their maybe other oils and perfumed items included which may irritate the skin furthur. I would at least just look at the ingredients and look them up online to see if they are possible pore cloggers.IF I USE TEA TREE OIL HAND CLEANSER WILL THAT PREVENT ZITS ON MY FACE?
    no way !

    do not use something for your face if it tells u to use it on your hands !

    you can breakout with severe acne, or your skin might be fuckkked up

    just buy a bottle cleanser of tea tree oil from the body shop, it wouldnt hurt to go back there, and honestly, tea tree oil works
    I don't think that you should try something that isn't meant for your face. It'll probably give you acne.
    i use tea- tree oil, it's an antiseptic which will definitely help but it will also cause dry skin.

    Are antiseptic hand cleanser gels suitable for children?

    Is it advisable to use antiseptic alcohol based hand cleanser gels on little kids below 5 years (for emergency use)? I have browsed for these cleansers and have come across several brands such as Nexcare, Purell, EO etc. Can the kids ingest the alcohol base and get sick soon after their hands are cleansed?Are antiseptic hand cleanser gels suitable for children?
    Read the label on the bottle.

    The 'emergency' would mean they have serious germs on their hands and no presence of water to clean with, right?

    I would say that using these cleansers on children is not suitable.

    Allergy to handcream or chemicals at work?

    I work in a resturant and as such I wash my hands a lot. I have been working there for about a month. I knew I might get raw hands as a result of this I got some hand Cream to try to prevent this. Now I have this one weird rash on my right hand near my thumb. I was off of work for a few days and I decided that would be a good time to figure out wheather I was allergic to the chemicals or the hand cream. I stopped using the hand cream. I went to work today and the rash appeard. I figured I was allegic to the chemicals. I figured then that It was safe to use the cream I put it on and the rash got worse it also had a wired sensation to it. I also have some injury as a result of extreme cold that I recieved Tuesday this only effected my ears and my right wrist. The hand cream in question is Acon Skin So Soft Winter Soft with Hydroseal Complex Hand Cream. Any links, or information is welcomed. If it remains for long time I might call my physicianAllergy to handcream or chemicals at work?
    There are lots of ingredients in that hand cream to be allergic to. Also you did not specify whether you wash dishes at the restaurant or just wash your hands a lot. Try putting plain old hydrocortisone cream on the rash for awhile, bring in your own handsoap and use it. If you are washing dishes or any of that, use gloves. That hand cream has a lot of botanicals in it, which, while they are great, are also made from plants and can trigger allergies. Try putting just plain old petroleum jelly on your hands at night with a pair of cotton gloves. They will be soft and moisturized next morning.Allergy to handcream or chemicals at work?
    Annie: Your hand cream has paraben. This causes lots of allergies in people. Look for a cream that is paraben free. Since you have to wash your hands alot you need to have a hand cream that does not have parabens or formaldehyde

    I am including a link to a cream that doesn't have that stuff in it. You can look in your drugstore or order it on-line. I use their hair stuff and I use the Vanicream on my feet.

    Oil Based Handcream/lotion?

    I'm looking for good oil based handcream or lotions that I can buy at drugstores... any good suggestions on which I should get?

    Thanks. :-)Oil Based Handcream/lotion?
    curell, palmers, lubriderm, suave...i think they all work pretty well if your hands are always dry. you can also ssee if your drugstore sells ';burt's bees'; it's body products made from natural plants and beeswax...that works the best!Oil Based Handcream/lotion?
    Burtbees has a good one.They carry it at walgreens...and also try a hand creme called the gardeners hand healer.It works miracles and it also smells good.Good luck by the way.

    I put handcream on my hands but they always seem to be dry, what can i do?

    Make sure to keep track of your water intake and also your fat intake. You need 4 teaspoons of fat a day and 64 oz of water. That is 2 quarts or 4 pints or 8 glasses of 8 oz a piece for your DAILY water intake.

    Also, in the winter time wear gloves. They do more that help keep your hands warm; they protect your skin.

    Apply a good lotion after you wash your hands.

    Antibacterial soap is not necessary. Use a gentler soap.I put handcream on my hands but they always seem to be dry, what can i do?
    Don't use Vaseline...it doesn't work that great and gets everything all greasy and yucky. The Body Shop has a few hand protectors that you put on after you wash your hands and it doesn't completely wash away when you do wash your hands. Take a mixture of aloe gel and olive oil (yes the cooking stuff--you might have to fend off Popeye but it works) and rub on your hands as needed. I find that this works best for a long night. Just to be safe I toss on a pair of socks. There is no need to go out and buy special spa gloves or whatever.I put handcream on my hands but they always seem to be dry, what can i do?
    Just keep using it; you might also want to get a humidifier to have in your home. Dry skin is often the result of low humidity in the winter months.

    I also use vitamin E cream on my hands. It's easily the best thing I've found, it's very inexpensive, and works just as well as the pricey stuff!
    Go to a salon and have a paraffin wax treatment OR before you go to bed, smother your hands in Vaseline and then put a pair of cotton gloves or socks on your hands while you sleep. Your hands will be lovely and soft in the morning xxx
    use Vaseline handcream. Workss.
    After wash them with water put some baby oil and let it dry:)
    Put on cocoa butter at night, not the lotion, but the cream.
    Try different products. Some types sink in quickly, others sit on the top and feel oily all the time.

    Find one which suits you and your skin type.
    I switched to seasame oil at night (yes you smell like a chinese takeaway but it helped alot). Also stopped using any handcream with petroleum based products in it (I found they make your skin dry in the long term)
    go to a specialist. I don't think there is a doctor among us here.
    wash your hands with warm water and exfoliate with a sugar/salt mix scrub with a little oil in it (gets rid of the dead skin), then get some neutrogena foot cream, apply it generously, put socks over your hands, and go to sleep. it's much thicker than a hand cream and u do it overnight so it's like a deep treatment.

    during the day, just apply lotion whenever u get a break. soon you'll do it without really even thinking.

    that was a very good recommendation i got from a photographer when i was a hand model. it works soooooo well. my hands always were shoot ready after doing this.

    also treat yourself to a warm paraffin wax manicure at a spa or with a home kit when you run into some extra cash. it helps...plus it feels goooood. =]
    do you wash your hands alot? if you get a water softener installed it can help.

    wear cotten gloves just after applying moisturiser for about 30 mons to get it to settle in, and wear leather gloves to protect you hands when you go out.

    If you have a dog/cat, dont stoke them too much or you will likely want to wash your hands alot and defy the point in putting on moisturiser in the first place -either that or cost yourself a small fortune in replacing the cream when you have to constantly reapply it.

    If it itches alot or flakes alot go see a doctor as it could be a type of dermititus/exma
    Try putting vaseline on your hands at night, and then putting a pair of socks over them. I know it sounds strange, but it works. Sleep with the vaseline and socks all night and in the morning your hands will be so soft. You can also try putting the vaseline on your hands, putting the hot water on in the sink, and steaming them, then put the socks on. Make sure you dont scald yourself by putting your hands in the hot water. Just put them through the steam after you put on the vaseline. It works for me. Good luck!
    You are dehydrated. Try drinking a couple more glasses of water a day over a month or so and see how you do. Nothing external will help you. Your body needs more moisture.
    Last thing at night lather your hands in hand cream %26amp; put on a pair of cotton beauty gloves ( you can buy them from all good cosmetic counters) and sleep with them on. In the morning your hands will be lovely and soft.

    Fast absorbing handcream?

    I've just seen and advert for Neutrogena handcream and it said, now available in fast absorbing handcream. I couldn't help but wonder who would therefore prefer to buy the not-so-fast absorbing handcream. Tell me, would you prefer to be able to moisturise your hands and get on with your life, or moisturise your hands a wait for 4 hours whilst they dry?Fast absorbing handcream?
    I`m a big hairy builder type and this time of year working outside we are prone to ';splits'; on our hands, any little cut etc just dries up and the hard skin forms around it and it just stays an open wound, I use neutrogena which solves this problem (softening the skin and letting it heal), I saw the ad like you and bought some and to be honest the fast absorbing stuff isn`t nearly as good for my purpose.Fast absorbing handcream?
    Very good question - there nothing worse that greasy handcream that just won't sink in...........
    Just get on with life and don't buy rubbish products.
    Moisturisers which dry straight away are probably not as moisturising as a moisturiser which would take 4 hours to dry! My hands get really dry so i need a good moisturiser, but i only use it at night before i go to bed so it has time to absorb properly!
    I have tried many hand creams but the best I found was Moisture Mitts by Bee-Luscious cosmetics you can look it up on beeroyalproducts.com web site its worth it

  • Do you ever apply handcream and then rub your eyes?

    For some reason I do this almost daily. Presently I have blood shot eyes that are streaming out eye liquid (saline? idk) trying to get the cream out.

    And I'm sure my mascara is running now...Do you ever apply handcream and then rub your eyes?
    I don't use hand cream.

    sounds like manic depression to me.....Do you ever apply handcream and then rub your eyes?
    Yeah because sometimes i have dry eyelids and i don't want them to get flaky
    No but I ate a jalapeno pepper once then rubbed my eyes. I also took a leak and I don't know what burned worse, my eyes or my willy.
    Sometimes I will do that, but not very often.
    No, I'm not a dolt.
    yea and it burns
    ooooooooo, that's how one gets hand cream in their eye.
    Yes, I've had that happen.

    It seems to be some sort of reaction of some kind.
    yeah it sucked. It's one of those things you only do once.
    i have with hand sanatizer burns badly!
    yes! AND ive done it with facial moisturizer i put on before i go to bed and end up with it in my eyes putting it on too close to them..
    umm no
    Nope. worse I got toothpaste in my eye
    lol omg i got alchohol in my eye........ow DONT DO THIS
    Nope, doesn't happen to me! You may want to wash your hands after you apply the hand lotion.
    On accident but, I dont know what to tell you about your problem lol sorry
    Wow... You might want to stop doing that.
    yup that burns like crazy

    the cream they gave me was valisone cream

    [BETAMETHASONE]%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; THIS HAS SAVED ME MIRIACAL DRUG THIS IS A CREAM GOOD LUCK TO YOUR MOMMy mum suffers with really bad eczema on her fingertips- does anyone know of a good handcream/remedy for this?
    E 45
    Try E45 and eumovate. Speak to a chemist and ask their advice because you can buy most of the anti-eczema creams over the counter.

    I used eumovate on my eczema and it cleared up. Some doctors recommend you apply it with plastic gloves.

    Your Mum should also try wearing gloves as far as possible that won't irritate it further because the drop in temperature recently will effect it even more.
    an emolliant cream can help as eczema causes dryness.

    cetraben is a good one and is available to buy over the counter at most pharmacists. It does not contain lanolin which can irritate eczema.

    She should also use gloves for washing up as the soap can affect her skin. She can wash with these creams but they feel slightly waxy - dermol 500 is a good soap substitute but is to my knowlege a prescription only cream.
    This is gonna sound really rank, but it comes from a doctor.....

    my daughter suffers from the same compaint, her doctor told her to dab her own urine on the affected areas....I am serious. It works, apparently, and she has tried everything else.

    Standing in your own urine for a few mins is also good for chilblains.
    ive been having similar problems..ive tried near every lotion mentioned..the only cream that has been keeping it tame is sudo cream. that does ease the pain...
    Hi,

    you could try a cream i use for my eczema, it really helps the dry skin, its from the body shop its called hemp hand protector its for use on extremely dry skin, it also seems to help with the itching.
    E-45 or hydroquartizone...ask a pharmacy. tell her to keep away from chopping lemons or chillis or onions or anything else with high acid content . Perhaps a dietitian could help her as well, she would probably need to go to her GP to get refered.
    According to what I have read, eczema is one condition caused by the candida albicans fungus. Any antifungal cream may help. Some say that apple cider vinegar is anti fungal, and that may be taken internally (ugh) as well as used externally. I am eating more unsweetened plain no fruit added yogurt these days, as that has acidophilous, that is supposedly a good anti candida food (ugh too).

    The yeast link at www.hufa.org has more info on this fungus.
    * Avoid harsh detergents or drying soaps.

    * Choose a soap that has an oil or fat base; a ';superfatted'; soap is best.

    * Use an unscented soap.

    * Patch test your soap choice, by using it only on a chosen area until you are sure of its results.

    * Use a non-soap based cleanser.

    How to use soap when one must

    * Bathe in warm water 鈥?not hot.

    * Use soap sparingly.

    * Avoid using washcloths, sponges, or loofahs.

    * Use soap only on areas where it is necessary.

    * Soap up only at the very end of your bath.

    * Use a fragrance free barrier type moisturizer such as vaseline or aquaphor before drying off.

    * Never use any kind of lotion, soap, or fragrance unless your doctor tells you to or it's allergen free

    * Never rub your skin dry, elsewise your skin's oil/moisture will be on the towel and not your body.

    Antihistamine medication may reduce the itch during a flare up of ezcema, and the reduced scratching in turn reduces damage %26amp; irritation to the skin (the Itch cycle).

    Capsaicin applied to the skin acts as a counter irritant (see Gate control theory of nerve signal transmission). Other agents that act on nerve transmissions, like menthol, also have been found to mitigate the body's itch signals, providing some relief. Recent research suggests Naloxone hydrochloride and dibucaine suppress the itch cycle in atopic-dermatitis model mice as well.

    Dermatitis is often treated by doctors with prescribed Glucocorticoid (a corticosteroid steroid) ointments, creams or lotions. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g. Hydrocortisone or Desonide), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. Clobetasol propionate). They are highly effective in most cases, but must be used sparingly to avoid possible side effects, the most significant of which is that their prolonged use can cause the skin to thin and become fragile (atrophy). High strength steroids used over large areas may be significantly absorbed into the body causing bone demineralisation (osteoporosis). Finally by their immunosuppression action they can, if used alone, exacerbate some skin infections (fungal or viral). If using on the face, only a low strength steroid should be used and care must be taken to avoid the eyes.

    Hence, a steroid of an appropriate strength to promptly settle an episode of eczema should be sparingly applied. Once the desired response has been achieved, it should be discontinued and not used for long-term prevention.

    Topical immunomodulators like pimecrolimus (Elidel庐 and Douglan庐) and tacrolimus (Protopic庐) were developed after corticosteroid treatments, effectively suppressing the immune system in the affected area, and appear to yield better results in some populations. The US Food and Drug Administration has issued a public health advisory about the possible risk of lymph node or skin cancer from use of these products, but many professional medical organizations disagree with the FDA's findings:

    * The postulation is that the immune system may help remove some pre-cancerous abnormal cells which is prevented by these drugs. However, any chronic inflammatory condition such as eczema, by the very nature of increased metabolism and cell replication, has a tiny associated risk of cancer (see Bowen's disease).

    * Current practice by UK dermatologists [1] is not to consider this a significant real concern and they are increasingly recommending the use of these new drugs. The dramatic improvement on the condition can significantly improve the quality of life of sufferers (and families kept awake by the distress of affected children). The major debate, in the UK, has been about the cost of such newer treatments and, given only finite NHS resources, when they are most appropriate to use.[2]

    * In addition to cancer risk, there are other potential side effects with this class of drugs. Adverse reactions including severe flushing, photosensitive reactivity and possible drug interaction in patients who consume even small amounts of alchohol

    Recent studies provide hints that food allergy may trigger atopic dermatitis. For these people, identifying the allergens could allow an avoidance diet, although this approach is still in an experimental stage[2].

    Alternative therapies

    Non-convention medical approaches include traditional and new-age approaches. Patients should inform their doctor/allergist/dermatologist if they are pursuing one of these treatment routes.

    Historical sources - notably traditional Chinese medicine and Western herbalism - suggest a wide variety of treatments, each of which may vary from individual to individual as to efficacy or harm. Toxicity may be present in some. Some of these remedies are for topical use, some are to be ingested.

    * Ledeboureilla seseloides

    * Potentilla chinensis

    * Aebia clematidis

    * Clematis armandii

    * Rehmannia glutinosa

    * Paeonia lactiflora (Chinese Peony)

    * Lophatherum gracile

    * Dictamnus dasycarpus

    * Tribulus terrestris

    * Glycyrrhiza uralensis

    * Glycyrrhiza glabra (Licorice)

    * Schizonepeta tenuifolia (Neem)

    * Schizonepeta tennuifolia

    * Azadirachta indica

    * evening primrose oil

    * tea tree oil

    * burdock

    * rooibos

    * calamine

    * oatmeal

    * crocodile oil

    * cod liver oil

    * neem oil

    * Aloe Propolis cream

    Oatmeal in solution applied topically is also an alternative therapy[3].
    Product from South Africa called ';Zambuck';. Green gel in a green and white round tin. I've recommended this to two friends here in the UK before for eczema and it has solved their problems. I'm not kidding. This stuff is as mythical as Tiger Balm. Worth a try.
    please look at the link below its a previously answered yahoo question which I think may be of some use to you
    Try Eucerin lotion.
    go to a dermatologist, they specialize in skin and im sure they will be able to help your mom out alot!
    go and see a dermatologist, as i have really bad eczema as well, and for ages i was using baby lotion, and it was a while before i discovered i was allergic to an ingredient in that... the dr will be able to prescribe some creams to treat the itching etc, but a really good moisteriser (which i have used for ages and is really good) has colloidal oatmeal in it... because its all natural, its really mild, and the action of the oatmeal is really soothing and really hydrates the skin... its mild enough to use all over the body including the face, so it should be fine for the hands...

    another thing you could try is something called diprobase... its just a moisterier as well, but is thicker than the oatmeal cream, so may stay on the hands a bit longer... since i work in a lab and am washing my hands all the time, i have found that this works really well at keeping the skin on my hands healthy... and its not too greasy either...

    hope your mum gets it sorted soon xxx

    How often do you apply handcream?

    everyday?How often do you apply handcream?
    You apply handcream when your skin is dry.

    Your skin makes it's own natural oils, and overall, most people do not really need much cream, doing it daily, perhaps after your morning shower is all that is needed.

    Don't forget your elbows, and knees, these parts of body often need to be ';oiled'; too, lol.

    Too much cream on the face can clog up pores, so be careful not to overdo it.

    If you have an occupation, like nursing, where you are always washing your hands,(every 10 minutes or so) then of course, you'd apply it several times a day.How often do you apply handcream?
    As often as I need to, my hands aren't dry every day but sometimes they are. I used to have a job where my hands were constantly peeling because I held a dish cloth all day and the cleaners were full of chemicals, then I would have to apply hand cream a good few times an hour, but since leaving, only about once a day.
    i put lotion all over my body after i shower

    but i keep a bottle of handlotion in my bag

    so when ever my hands feel dry i apply it

    usually like 3 times a day i guess

    more so in the winter or in dry areas
    with hand cream, put it when u feel your hands are sore and need a little care, when there dry like a lot of the time in the winter you put on a coupe times of times a day,

    read what it says on the box too,
    whenever your hands are dry i guess. i put baby lotion on my hands once a day after i get out of the shower i dont really have a problem with my hands getting dry thoe sumtimes i dont put any just my arms.
    Every night before I go a bed

    I've just actually started doing this and this is when I apply foot cream.. Everything looks nicer lately lol :) xx
    maybe twice a day. but i saw this video and it really taught me how much.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4YawQenRU8
    Not enough. I think it would be best to use it twice a day, especially after cleaning up. My personal goal is to use it more often.
    Around once a day during winter as my hands always get really dry, but I don't bother with it any other time unless I feel like I need it.
    Everytime You Wash Your Hands If Possible!! x x
    whenever your hands get dry or ashy
    If you have a dry skin, use twice a day.
    everyday
    Rarely, almost never.
    depends on how bad you need it,

    but usually a few times a day
    Once or twice a day, or when your hands feel dry.
    Whenever I feel like I need it.
    Two or three times a day.
    read directions
    twice a day in the morning and at night.
    Not that much honestly.

    My hands are naturally soft because they tend to sweat alot
    ya pretty much, once a day.

    I will not ask them why bc they will not tell me the turth.

    Ps. they are in their 20sWhy do both my sons have handcream in their bedroom?

    They might just be using it because dry skin is uncomfortable! Or they might be using it for ';personal time';.

    Well they are in their 20's and still living at home, so chances are they don't have steady girlfriends being the losers that they are, so I would have to say it is for masterbation, duh.
    It's not to make there hands soft. It's just to jack off with. You need some type of lube and handcream works very well.
    They're over 18. Get over it.
    You have got to be kidding me! You have sons in their 20's and you don't know what they use that ';handcream'; for??? Get outta here.

    What is the best kind of handcream to buy at a regular store like Target, or Walgreens?

    Try the Nivea brand..it definitely works and it has a pleasant smell.

    Good luck!What is the best kind of handcream to buy at a regular store like Target, or Walgreens?
    Nivea or Lubridem cream is good for during the day. If your skin is sensitive make sure you get the unscented version.

    For an intense treatment overnight use Eucerin cream, it is greasier and you won't want to use it during the day, but slather it on at night and wear cotton gloves to bed (you can find them near the creams in the cosmetics dept. or near the pharmacy) and that will really help heal dry hands. You can also use the Eucerin on your feet at bedtime and wear cotton socks over it.What is the best kind of handcream to buy at a regular store like Target, or Walgreens?
    Target carries the Burt's Bees brand, and it smells great. Also, it is almost 100% natural, so it's good for you too.

    What happens if you jackoff with handcream? Will I gett sick? Its been two hours and I don't have a rash or anything.

    I know I should of used lube but I only had scented handcream.

    By the way, I'm a girl.What happens if you jack off with handcream?
    ok 1st of all you cant 'jack off' if your a girl

    unless your a transvesti

    nothing should happen unless you are allergic to any ingredients in the creamWhat happens if you jack off with handcream?
    then you dont jack off, the term jack off is directly related to the jacking motion of a man stroking his penis. you masterbate

    you should be fine, wipe it off with a wet rag. its not that big of a deal unless you are extra sensitive
    No problem AT ALL.

    Using lotion is actually recommended (apparently) for elders when they have intercourse so it won't be a problem at all for how you used it.

    No need to panic. Just go and take a shower.
    Scented creams and seem to always give me irritation, hand cream may cause you to dry out...I know it seems like it wouldn't since it is a cream but I have herd of it causing dryness.
    this time nothing happened, but I wouldn't try to use scented stuff inside you too often. Defiantly wash off with soap and water though.
    Wow... wow.

    I, uh... hmmm, uh.... wow

    I have severely dry skin on my hands and knees and normal moisturizers don't work. Can someone please help?!?

    i had a crazy problem with my hands and feet peeling like no other. i had to ask so many people for help with what to do, and then i heard of ';Aquaphor';. Its part of the lotion brand Eucerin, but its like vaseline and verrrry sticky. I used it over night and it literally healed my skin from almost peeling all off to feeling brand new. You can get it at any drug store, such as Rite Aid or CVS. Its under 10 dollars usually, depending on the size you get. Its liek a medicated healing vaseline, I'd say go get that!I have severely dry skin on my hands and knees and normal moisturizers don't work. Can someone please help?!?
    Eucedrin's Aquaphor worked wonders for me. It's quite greasy, so I applied it only at night. It was the only thing I could use to cure my severely dry and chapped skin.

    Good luck!I have severely dry skin on my hands and knees and normal moisturizers don't work. Can someone please help?!?
    rub some vaseline petroleum jelly on before bed. if you put a thick layer on, you may want to put some cotton gloves on

    I have heard many times that Neutrogena hand cream is very very good for winter-dry chapped hands. It's non-greasy as well. :)Being more specific: Are there any moisturizers that are good for chapped, winter-dry HANDS?
    i have exzema on my hands only so i know about try hands..i use baby lotion any kind really that works on the try cracked hands with out burning cause its for babys ya know or a liitle vasoline..you'll be alittle greasy but hey it works...go to the drug store and ask...
    use Aquaphor- its the BEST!
    aveeno, or even the store brand of it, the ingredients are the same
    I use hemp lotion that works wonders. You can find it in some grocery stores, any Bath %26amp; Body Work type store, or beauty store.
    Eucerin!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    There are plenty.

    I don't know where you live so it's no use mentioning brands. Look for one that is a skin repair one.

    Also soaps %26amp; detergents can cause dry skin. Be careful which ones you use %26amp; try some of the hand washes rather than soap.

    I have found some are better than others so experiment a bit.
    Use coco butter of mango butter . Thats where I get my hand moisturizers at of you could try St. Ives .
    Curel is a really good moisturizer, as well as jergens, Eucerin, Baby oil that's in a gel form and udder cream and nivea work really well also. As well as Lubriderm. However my personal favorites are Curel and Eucerin.
    The cheapest and best solution - vaseline.

    Yo can get it in every drugstore and its $2 or so.

    Neutrogena Hand cream - just a dab relieves dry, chapped hands.
    It really works if before you go to bed, apply and extra rich mosturizor and then slip on a pair of cotton gloves. I do that once a week and my hands look awesome! I use St. Ives ultra healing mosturizor, its effective, cheap, and non greasy!
    Hello! I had the EXACT same problem, and every time I used lotion at night, the next day almost a film of lotion came off my hands, and my super dry hands got caught on certain materials! Then one day I tried this different lotion, INSTANT RESULTS OVERNIGHT! After applying the lotion in the morning again, my hands are still soft, 12 HOURS LATER!

    It is called: Olay firming reveiver!

    It works like this:

    Imagine the surface of your hands is like a puzzle. The cells in your hands represent puzzle peices. When your cells lose moisture, they sort of shrink. When puzzle peices shrink to different sizes, they no longer fit, leaving you dry, cracked hands. This lotion plumps your cells with llotion, it is cheap, it is in a big bottle, and it smells great!
    Try Aveeno

    it has otmeal in it so it works really well and there is non-greasy kinds.

    idk about it being at a drugstore but I've seen it at target.

    It works good for me because I get really dry hands in the winter.
    Aquaphor is the best for EVERYTHING. I use it on my lips, but it's a FABULOUS skin healer and protector.
    The best lotion for your hands will be Soy Pete lotion bars. Soy is naturally rich in Vitamin E and these products don't have any alcohol that can dry your skin out. One 3 oz lotion bar costs around 7 dollars will last 6 months- that is three times a day if needed. It is the best lotion I have ever used because it works most of the day and I don't have to constantly reapply it after i wash my hands. It stays on my hands even after washing! I was very impressed! Has anyone here have had vinegar or something loaded with vinegar on their hands while wearing moisturizer?

    Or at least soap residue? Especially the kind of soap residue or moisturizer where you cannot even pronounce most of the ingredients on the list.

    I just want to know since I had hands full of soap residue and got vinegar on them, I rinsed it off but this ';goey'; layer of vinegar was still there.

    But I want to know if anything dangerous would happen like a new substance forming, rash, gas, carcinogen, etc.

    if nessiscary I can post the ingredients, I know it contains parabens, mystric acid, tricoslan, BHT, TEA, methylcelloluse and things I probably shouldn't even put on my skin.Has anyone here have had vinegar or something loaded with vinegar on their hands while wearing moisturizer?

    What's the best moisturizer for hands? They're so dry they hurt?

    My hands are crazy...and I can see all the little cracks, like the ground of a desert.

    Before they got bad, I used to put on this Vasoline lotion once in a while and it worked really well. Then I stopped and my hands got super dry, so I use the lotion about 3 times a day, but doesn't last longer than half an hour. And whenever I put on lotion or wash my hands with warm water, they start getting very red like some weird rash and they burn.

    Is there anything you would recommend that could help me?What's the best moisturizer for hands? They're so dry they hurt?

    Nails should always be cared for properly, and an important way to start is through skin care. What's the best product for your skin? It varies based on your likes and dislikes, and skin sensitivity, but no one can dispute the power of shea butter. Shea butter is a solid fatty oil made from the nuts of Karite Nut trees that grow in West and Central Africa. Shea butter is so beneficial, it's not only used in beauty products but also found in foods and can be used for cooking. Shea butter contains vegetable fats that promote cell regeneration and circulation, making this substance a healer for troubled skin. Try a moisturizer with shea butter and/or cocoa butter, as these have the best results.

    Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream.

    It's very effective for dry skin. It's soft enough for every type of skin and strong enough to relieve even ECZEMA for an extremely long time. You can use it anywhere too. Not just your hands, but everywhere, like on your face, elbows, legs, neck, etc. And ANYONE can use it.

    It's cheap and EXTRMELY EFFECTIVE.

    Trust me. I have had eczema ever since I was a baby.

    My cousin, who is a dermatologist, gave it to me.

    Eczema is a chronic skin disorder or disease. It makes your skin extremely dry and cracked and sometimes it turns red in bad weather (cold). Sometimes it even hurts to move your hands/skin. ';Le Couvent Des Minsemes'; Gardeners Hand Helper - you get it at Bath and Body Works. It is a light lemon scent, and loaded with Shea Butter which is great for your skin, and moisturizes like crazy. It is like $12.00 a tube, but lasts forever(seems like it anyway) and well worth it.
    there's a company called arbonne. they have something called skin conditioning oil that is STELLAR. a friend of mine always had really dry and even sometimes cracked and bleeding hands/knuckles. she used everything under the sun. now she uses the arbonne stuff and has no more problems! it's not cheap but the small bottle goes a long way and works like a dream!

    While using drysol ? ive been using drysol on my hands (a liquid treatment for excessive sweating) since last night and its worked great but my hands have dryed out.. is it ok if i put moisturizer on ? wont effect the drysol treatment will it ?Can i put moisturizer on my hands...?
    Do whatever works. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Would using a moisturizer for hands work on my face? lol?

    Don't do it. Most hand/body lotions aren't non-comedogenic, meaning they contain oils or creams that will clog your pores and cause breakouts. If you're looking for a lotion that will double as a hand/face moisturizer, I would suggest buying Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion. It's super gentle and will keep you moisturized like crazy. It's available at any drugstore in the skincare aisle for around $10-$13.

    Hope this helped a bit! Take care.

    R different moisturizers for example... hand cream,foot cream,nail cream,body lotion etc necessary to use?

    Instead of using 3 moisturizers.. .is not only one product that is d body lotion enough to be used for d whole body?R different moisturizers for example... hand cream,foot cream,nail cream,body lotion etc necessary to use?
    It depends on the texture that you prefer and the amount of moisture penetration that you want. Creams for feet are usually thicker to get deeper tissue penetration, but that would be uncomfortable for hands as you would have a film or layer of cream that would make it difficult to hold onto things like pens, etc. If you do not need the extremely thick creams for moisturizing, you can use a light lotion everywhere. A good one to try is Complex 15 lotion, which is also fragrance free.R different moisturizers for example... hand cream,foot cream,nail cream,body lotion etc necessary to use?
    If you are not prone to break outs, you can use regular lotion all over. My boyfriend does and he had beutiful skin. I only use body lotion and face lotion because face lotion tends to be oil free and formulated not to clog pores. But sometimes I'll use regular lotion if my face is really dry and/or there is nothing else avalible.
    I think the theory is that different parts of your body have different levels of dryness and therefore require different formulas. Also, lotions meant to nourish your nails probably have vitamins and special oils in them specifically for your hands (and a lot of foot lotions have anti-fungal properties).

    I use to but I have found something better. There's this great stuff by www.malie.com Check it out. It's an all over in shower body moisturizer that TRULY lasts longer than any type moisturizer I have ever tried. It is their Mango Butter Bun or Buttercup- same thing, different sizes. It looks like a round bar of soap that you rub on your body before you get out of the shower. You just hold it under the warm spray for 5 seconds and then rub on like moisturizer. It's much nicer though as it glides on so easily. It replaces any lotion you would normally use. It has mango butter, Cocoa Butter, Vit. E and antioxidants in it. Plus, it's always best to moisturize when your skin is wet as you want to lock in the moisture. It is pretty amazing stuff and I have really dry skin, esp. in the winter. I find that my skin on my body is still soft and moisturized even 24 hours later. It is also so nice not to have to get out of the shower and freeze trying to put on body lotion!!! You don't want to use this on your face though as it's TOO moisturizing for that.

    Hands- Aveda Hand Relief, www.aveda.com I often mention their hair products on here as it is the only brand I will use. I got a sample of it at my salon this Christmas and am already hooked.

    I've tried my moms hand moisturizers but they give me red ';rashes'; on my hands.?

    The brands I have tried are Suave, and Equate that give me the red rashes, is there a moisturizer(s) that can help my dry-skinned hands but is gentle enough not to give me rashes. Or is there something wrong with my skin?I've tried my moms hand moisturizers but they give me red ';rashes'; on my hands.?
    You most likely have sensitive skin. I do too, actually :] Look for anything labeled fragrance free and try to look for something with shea butter. I would recommend Lubriderm or Vaseline, which trend to be full body lotions, or the Yes to Carrots line (can be found at Walgreen's) if you're looking to spend a little more. At least check out the Yes to Carrots, they have amazing products.I've tried my moms hand moisturizers but they give me red ';rashes'; on my hands.?
    Nothing is wrong, except that you are allergic to something in these lotions. It doesn't matter how little or how much you spend if you are allergic. Try something fragrance free. You will have to use process of elimination to see what's best for you.
    Ok this is just the kind of question I need because I can help. I have the same problem. You need to go to a heath store if possible because they have stuff that is great for skin and all natural as well which is also great for you skin and won't make you breakout. Get a moisturizer or lotion with with chamomile calendula or if they have one with both get it. This will help trust me.
    You are alot like me. Products like Suave are very inexpensive and have harsh perfumes. Nothing is wrong with your skin, you just need a better lotion. Lo real and Vaseline work the best for me. They do cost more though!
    your mums creams may have AHA's in them (stuff to make older skin smoother).. Try Cetaphil. I live in australia and don't know where you are but Cetaphil is from the Chemist and is cheap. Dermatoligists reccomend it.
    i would probably go to the doctors if i was you,

    sounds kinda gay i know, but have you considered the possibility it could be eczema?

    or you could ask your mom? :)
    Sounds like a simple allergy. My sister is allergic to aloe, which is in many lotions. That might be the problem. Look at the ingredients on the two lotions you used. Maybe you can figure out what caused the reaction. Try Burt's Bees hand lotion. It is very pure. Or ask the pharmacist to recommend one that is hypoallergenic.
    nothing is wrong at all! i had the same thing but on my face. u have sensitive skin.suave and equate are both perfumed lotions that are probably pretty strong and ppppppppowerful. try something more subtle and light...glysomed is GUH-RATE and u can get the kind that is unscented. check out the site under the source column.

    -liz a.
    no, nothings wrong. you just have sensitive skin. try vaseline lotion, or somethings else that is not perfumed.
    i have that same problem my skin is very sensitive i can't use them and I got tired of dry skin and itching so I use avon products and they are great. in my opinion ';silicone glove'; is the best. and yes i am a man that uses avon. I am not ashamed.

    a real man can face all honesty! Real men don't have to act like real men to be a real man. I also use one of my own products that i sell which his a great hand soap and that helps as well becasue the ingredients are all natural. here is the description A super-concentrated hand and body soap gentle enough for babies and safe for most skin types.

    if interested in trying contact me but I do recommend the avon products other wise and if you don't have a rep near you, i can refer you to one
    First of all those are both really cheap lotion brands. Go to your local drug store and get the new goldbond lotion. It's AMAZING. Gentle, and rash free skin. believe me. I'm a hair dresser and my hands would get terrible... unitl now. Also, eucerin is awesome too. The goldbond one lasts 24 hours and is so gentle you can put it on your face. Plus it's not greasy and it smells like a little slice of heaven. Eucerin you can too and it's unscented but greasy.

  • Hand moisturizers for Winter?

    My hands aren't usually this dry, but they are very dry on the back of my hands. I put some Glysomede hand creme on it but it still feels a little rough. Do I need to exfoliate them? RECIPES are very welcome and will earn you more points please! I can't buy them because most products are different. Thanks!Hand moisturizers for Winter?
    I wash almost exclusively (ie no soap) with a body scrub I make of brown sugar, vanilla extract, and olive oil.

    Cheap and fabulous for that really awful dry skin that never goes away in the winter. And I don't smell. I promise.Hand moisturizers for Winter?
    vaseline! is the best for dry skin.
    Try putting vaseline on your hands and wearing gloves at night. Sounds silly, but it works really well. My hands used to crack and bleed they were so dry:-(

    My favorite hand creme is Gardener's Therapy from Crabtree %26amp; Evelyn.

    Yes, you may need some hand moisturizers for the winter, because cold air could be very dry, and especially if you use the air conditioner or go outside to play. Air conditioners take out humidity. Cold air dry-freezes your hands.

    Should you wash your hands after applying moisturizer to your body?

    and before eating food(with fingers).Should you wash your hands after applying moisturizer to your body?
    what parts of your body were you touching *wink* ;)

    If my skin is not particularly dry is it ok to use a hand cream as a moisturizer for my face?

    I generally find the beauty industry to be full of lies and misleading claims and so I've never really bought any beauty products besides the most basic toiletries. Even when I have been tempted, the ludicrous prices keep me from straying. However, I do wonder if I am doing the right thing by using a fairly rich hand cream as a facial moisturizer. I have always had fairly oily skin and didn't use any kind of moisturizer until my mid 20s. But as I'm getting older, my skin isn't quite as oily and I'm wondering if using hand cream is good enough or not advisable...If my skin is not particularly dry is it ok to use a hand cream as a moisturizer for my face?
    Generally, no. There are some companies who make a hand cream that is light enough to go on your face. However, if it's working for you, stick with it. If my skin is not particularly dry is it ok to use a hand cream as a moisturizer for my face?
    my wife uses a different product for both her face and hands. She works at an airport and washes here hands many times. She applies the hand cream through out thre day. But the product she uses for her face she uses in the morning and in the night before sleep.. She buys her stuff on line. I think all the good stuff cost money and that's just from ahusbands point of view..but her skin looks great and she is happy so.....
    I'd say no to the hand cream its to heavy for your skin on your face you should be using something light for example no7 hydrating or benefit dear john both are about 拢20 but will last you about six months as you only need to put a little on after washing your face.
    I wouldn't suggest using a hand cream for your face because it's more likely to clog your pores and cause breakout down the line. Good luck!
    God, no! Gross!

    Does anyone know any good moisturizer for your hands?

    im trying to get my hands really soft and i dont know what works best...

    any suggestions?Does anyone know any good moisturizer for your hands?

    where my skin is always dry and it works wonders!!!Does anyone know any good moisturizer for your hands?
    Curel
    I like Bath and Body Works Japanese Blossom. My hands always feel soft after I use it.
    nivea has been and will always be the best.
    nivea works for me
    anything nivea or dove!
    Yes I would suggest you use GOLD BOND ULTIMATE healing lotion in the tube. It is very cheap but it is also very good. Heals dry problem skin.
    Bath and Body Works Japanese Blossom is the best one.
    Try buying some Shea butter. It's expensive, but it lasts absolutely ages, as a little goes a very long way, and works better than any potion or concoction on the shelves :).
    Hello, I have tried many brands of hand cream. I have to say that any type of hand cream or body cream/lotion from ';L'Occitane'; is the best products I have ever used. If you are on a budget and can't afford this product, Neutrogen makes a good hand moisturizer, it's called Norweigeon something or other. Sorry I don't recall the full name of that one. You should use any type of exfoliator, to remove any dead skin and skin cells in order to achieve the best moisture penetration possible. That applies to your entire body as well. Great advice to use before getting yourself summer ready and tanning!
    Cocoa butter is your best friend. It's a miracle worker for your whole body.
    here are a few!

    -cocoa butter

    -nivealotion

    try those few and then just go to a local store and try some lotion for the sample bottles and see which one works best for you!
    u can mke mix of yoghurt,honey andlemon then mix it together and put 2times per day
    a natural protein based substance works wonders...at least that's what this lady told me.
    Cocca Butter ..is the best thing a girl can use. Plus its good for stretch marks and scars over time..

    What is the best moisturizer for your face, hands and feet?

    Try Lubriderm. Its excellent !What is the best moisturizer for your face, hands and feet?
    I loooooooove Aveeno products !!

    I have really sensitive skin, but Aveeno products are all natural and they smell so yummy ! Plus, they leave my skin feeling softer than any other lotion I've ever used.What is the best moisturizer for your face, hands and feet?
    I use Nivea cream for face and hands and ';Heel of Approval'; from Bath and Body Works for my feet.
    I find vaseline intensive care to be rather greasy and wear off quickly. For my face, I prefer Neutragena oil-free moisturizer - it's not greasy at all, but makes my skin feel soft and stay that way even in the driest weather.

    For the rest of my body (feet included) Gold Bond Advanced with Aloe is THE BEST moisturizer I've ever tried. It's super thick and penetrates deeply. When it says 24-hr moisture, they really mean it!
    My favorite is Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. It doesn't smell and absorbs quickly.
    I love 'Vaseline Intensive Care'' lotion.I like the non fragrance kind.It's also affordable.

    What good moisturizer for dry, cracked hands would you recommend?

    you can also use vaseline. apply before you sleep and wear socks on your hands. your hands will be better in the morning. you can also do this with feet and if your sinuses dry out you can place a little in each of your nostrels to keep your nose moist all night.What good moisturizer for dry, cracked hands would you recommend?
    try AVON intensive moisture lotion or basically any kind of lotion is better than none! just apply it several times during the day - especially right before you go to bed.

    Also try OLAY in shower body lotion for extra dry skin. I use that and it seems to work good!What good moisturizer for dry, cracked hands would you recommend?
    best stuff is jergens. I was once on hydrocortizone. if thats how you spell it. It didnt help, but jergens did. Use the one for extremely dry skin, the best they have. and use it every day. hydrocortizone is a medicine that doesnt cure you. it only keeps you on their medicine so that they can make more money off of you.
    Squeeze 2 spoons of lemon juice into a small bottle of glycerine. Mix them well and apply everyday to the affected area before going to sleep.
    there is this stuff called bag balm funny it is meant to be used on cows to help them with craking due to milking and weather but it works wonders!

  • Hello can i ask what is the correct way to put a moisturizer on ur face. .how much do i put on my hand too?

    just startedHello can i ask what is the correct way to put a moisturizer on ur face. .how much do i put on my hand too?
    it depends on your skin type- dry you put more, oily you put less. if you have an oily t-zone (forehead, nose, and chin) put less on those areas but put more on your cheeks. put a dab on each cheek, one on you nose, one on your forehead, and one on your chin and massage them in order from the bottom (chin, cheeks, nose, forehead.). it also helps to pay attention to the area where you nose meets your cheeks cuz you can get black head is the pores there are too tight so dirt can't get out.Hello can i ask what is the correct way to put a moisturizer on ur face. .how much do i put on my hand too?
    start in the center and rub towards your hairline.

    I was told this in homec class years and years ago.

    The theory is that if you rub the moisturizer on your face in a downward direction, you are pulling downward on your skin and promoting wrinkles. Moving your fingers towards the hairline you are pushing against the direction that wrinkles form.

    I've always moisturized with the outward strokes and now I am 34 and people sometimes still don't believe I'm old enough to buy beer. ( probably have good genes in addition to applying moisturizer correctly)

    The amount you use should vary depending on how dry your skin is and where you need it on your face. Just don't be excessive, but if you have too much, just wipe the excess with a tissue.
